College students throughout Ohio are invited to participate in the Insurance Collegiate Challenge on September 30, 2017.

Students will compete in a live simulation to run the most successful insurance company.

Students: Get real-world professional experience while building your skills and network (including resume!) toward a limitless, high-paying and meaningful career in Ohio’s insurance industry. (Learn more about careers in insurance.)

Register as a team or as an individual competitor. Registration ends September 8, 2017.

Student Teams:

  • Five teams, each made up of five undergraduate students, will compete.
  • Up to two team members must be enrolled in an insurance program at one of Ohio’s 10 insurance-focused programs.

  • Other team members are students from other majors who are interested in insurance.

  • There may be no more than one student majoring in actuarial science.

Individual Students:

  • Register to compete. The Fundación MAPFRE and Insuring Ohio Futures staff will work with you to place you on a mixed-campus team.
  • You’ll meet new friends, while competing to win!

The Event:

  • The Insurance Collegiate Challenge will occur on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Ohio Dominican University (Griffin Student Center).

  • Action will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.

  • All participants will attend the Columbus Crew vs. DC United MLS game at MAPFRE Stadium following the event. The winning team will be presented on the field!

  • Transportation to the MLS game, and all meals will be provided.

  • All materials necessary for the simulation will be provided.

  • Hotel accommodations will be provided for teams traveling from outside the Columbus region.

  • Competitors will receive T-shirts and gifts.
