As Ohio insurers work to backfill an expected 29,000 insurance openings by 2024, some are expanding their potential talent pool by starting with middle school students.

A recent career day at Nationwide Insurance is a prime example of how the Insurance Industry Resource Council (IIRC) is connecting companies with talent.

On April 28, seven students from Ohio Northern University, Ohio Dominican University, the University of Cincinnati and Columbus State Community College had an opportunity to interview for open jobs at Nationwide and hear about the diverse opportunities within the industry.
